Complete redevelopment and design of non-profit organization's logo and website from concept to launch using Drupal open source CMS. Website featured extensive resource directory, online course registration and e-commerce store integrated with credit card processing.

Process

Discovery

Began with meetings with clients to set goals and measures for success of the site
Used client interviews to determine target audience and the tasks they come to the website to complete.
New Information architecture was designed based on site goals, current architecture, and user needs.

Functional Specification

Specified functions of each page including promos, views, filters, dynamic content, scheduled publishing, course registration, and e-commerce store.
Set design requirements for logo and site and produced designs to fulfill goals, enhance the brand of the orgnization, and draw in the user.

Content

Graphic and text content was collected by the client and edited by both the client and Groove Interactive editor.

Development

Site functions were devloped using out-of-the-box Drupal 5.7 modules along with some custom development for order quantity discounts

Testing

Usability Testing

5 users were asked to complete 6 tasks on the website in order to uncover usability issues before release. As a result of the testing, enhancements were made to the checkout system.

Release

The site is pending release within the next few months.
